CONTEMPORARY BARN CONVERSIONS
COTSWOLDSInhabited by cows until recently, this
contemporary barn conversion was bought with planning permission for conversion to a single 4,000 sq ft residential dwelling house.
Castellum completed a full Design and Build programme, improving the planning permission to gain a first floor in the main barn which now extends to over 5,000 sq ft and retaining two further barns on the site which were previously earmarked for demolition and now provide an 1,800 sq ft annexe along with further ancillary accommodation above open garaging.
The interiors and the landscaping were designed in-house and the property features state of the art technology along with a bore holed ground source heat pump.
Castellum’s stone masons restored the former cow shed and the property has been designed to take full advantage of the south west facing setting and its views. Polished plaster, exposed stone walls and bespoke joinery and metalwork make for a dramatic home with soaring ceilings and lots of light. Building works to this project were completed in 56 weeks.
