Cirencester, Cotswolds

One of only a couple of Dutch Barns that have been converted by Castellum to residential accommodation across the country. The 5,000 sq ft timber frame property boasts a raised seam zinc roof and is clad in natural cedar. Internally there are five bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with a truly amazing 65 ft reception room containing state of the art kitchen and a contemporary Mallorca wood burning stove. Large expanses of glazing by Velfac windows along with a full length balcony take advantage of the views across the picturesque Cotswold countryside.

The barn has been built to a highly sustainable design to include an air source heat pump, bore hole water supply and levels of insulation far exceeding current building regulations. The lighting is controlled through a Lutron system. Works were completed within an eight month period.

“The Main contractor by which all others should be judged! Nothing ever too difficult – team players.”
